Some pictures of the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 just surfaced. No details have been revealed so far but we know this is going to be an Android handset to fill the gap between Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10.
Rumors suggest Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 will be running Android 1.6 at the time of release…via

Nice pictures, but I wish there was some more information here about it. GPS systems have become ever more complex and capable of more information delivery. However, I’ve noticed that they don’t tend to be very intuitive, nor are those extra features much use while actually driving. After all, it’s very dangerous to try and actively use them and keep your eyes on the road at the same time. I’d like to see easier ability to access those options mid-drive. Additionally, I wish there were units that were easier to switch between car and hand use, as backpacking is often much easier with one. All in all, I think that the GPS industry is making progress, but they still have a way to go.
