A new augmented reality iPhone App created is now available on the iTunes App Store and comes with 80 mountains in USA and Canada.
Just like most other augmented reality apps, REALSKI turns on your camera, and overlays lots on information on your screen in real time as you move your camera around. How does it know where you are and which direction you are facing? Well, the iPhone 3GS embeds a GPS receiver and a digital compass. That’s how.
After you install the main REALSKI application each mountain map in only 99 cents.
The information you see on the screen includes slopes with skill level and direction, lift names and load/unload areas, lodges, bathrooms, and restaurants, and other variety of information such as parks, etc.
