There’s a pretty recent (and decent) GPS app out there for the iPhone. It is not for driving directions but more for outdoor activities. Gaia GPS for the iPhone costs $2.99 and they’re going up against much more expensive GPS navigation apps as far as feature set. Gaia GPS have mobile access to topographic maps from MyTopo.com and it lets you view and download any number of maps at no additional charge. Once you have downloaded you can navigate even when disconnected from AT&T. It comes with 10,000,000 waypoints and related reports about places to go and lets you easily export of tracks and photos, via email or to EveryTrail.com.

And since it is a new startup they really care about what the users want. You can go here and vote on new features you want.
