Whistler GPS Red Light Camera Detector
Oct 13, 2009 gps navigation, radar detector

We think the Whistler GPS Red Light Camera Detector is a bit too big for serving only one purpose. Not to mention it’ll cost you $20/year after the first free year – that is if you decide to keep it on your dash that long. Maybe you will since you’ll have spent a whopping $200 on the initial hardware.
But anyhow – here is what this red light camera detector can do. In its database it stores locations of 6000 red light and speed camera locations in the US of A and Canada. It has integrated GPS and figures out if you’re approaching one of these locations. And then the 1.6″ color OLED screen displays your current position on a digital street map, and gives you visual and audible cues, shows how far away you are from the red light camera.
The database is updated monthly.
