Archos 5 Android
Sep 18, 2009 android, gps navigation

Archos just unveiled a new internet tablet called Archos 5 Android which features a 4.8″ high resolution touch screen and of course an integrated GPS receiver. It comes with special applications just created for the device, but does come with a full HTML browser.
The new Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet can handle HD content, lets you record live TV given you spent money on the optional DVR station, play FM stations, or transmit via FM. It doesn’t do 3G connectivity but it offers WiFi with 802.11 b/g/n and bluetooth 2.0.
The only problem we have Archos 5 is this:
GPS: 7 day free trial. Full fledge GPS with maps, 3D landmarks, POI, etc.
Really – 7 day free trial? If I spent all this money I’d expect at least 3 months of trial. Come on.
By the way the price of Archos 5 Android ranges from $300 to $430 (16GB to 1/2TB). Check out all the money you can spend on accessories here.
