Nokia Booklet 3G
Aug 26, 2009 gps navigation, nokia, umpc

Nokia Booklet 3G is the first laptop from the company. That’s pretty big news. It runs Windows Vista, has 3G connectivity, WiFi, and of course A-GPS. The screen measures 10.1″ but you’ve got an HDMI interface. The battery supposedly can last 12 hours, and you also have bluetooth. Syncs seamlessly with your Nokia phones and comes in various colors.
The design is also pretty impressive. You’ve got an ultra thin device with durable aluminum metal work and a high gloss finish (Finnish?).
It has an Intel Atom processor, weighs 1.25 kilograms, and is slightly more than two centimeters thin. Don’t forget the front facing camera and the SD card reader.

Could this netbook replace my laptop and gps navigation system? Most of the netbooks out now are good for surfing the net (obviously) but not so good if you need a laptop on the road. Also, the navigation features on the netbooks I’ve seen are lacking compared to portable navigation systems.

Garmin has Mobile PC and it will install on every Windows computer. It has the same interface as their PND’s, so yes, I think it could replace it.
