GPS navigation on Samsung Jet S8000

We had talked about the Samsung Jet S8000 back in June and told you it had GPS navigation capabilities (well, what doesn’t these days?) Citus of Korea just made their famous Rousen GPS navigation software available on the S8000 – and as far as we can tell from the pics, it looks pretty sharp.
The software provides Traffic Message Channel function, automatic day and night color theme switching, dead reckoning – so you can continue to navigate when GPS signals are weak, and a lot more.

S8000 has Rout 66 Navigation which to now has been more of an inderance than a help stopping me halfway between junctions going the wrong direction east not west on the M62, when still 46 miles from my destination saying “you have arrived at your destination”
I ignored the thing took out my paper map and arrived 2 hours late for an appointment. I have had no sence when E-mailing Rout 66 they are simply ignoring my requests for help and now my request for a refund! Rout 66 ? KEEP WELL AWAY!

From what I have found you need to register before download. Goto:
http://eng.rousen.com/05_myrousen/register.asp
However, I have no idea of the cost as I halted registration when I found there is no UK or Europe listed!
Am still looking for GPS for S8000!

You could always get the orange firmware for the phone, they pre-load sat-nav software on the phone.

FOR REBEL: YOUR WISEPILOT IS WORSE THAN ROUTE 66! I USED BOTH, BUT HAVE A LOOK AT 2 PARAMETERS: LICENSE FOR WISEPILOT IS REALLY EXPENSIVE, AND THE PROGRAM DOESNT HAVE STORED MAPS ON THE PHONE, SO WHAT IF I GO IN OTHER COUNTRY? SHOULD I CARRZ THE BANK WITH ME TO PAY THE DATA TRAFFIC?
ITS A REALLY BAD IDEA, OR MAYBE YOU HAVE AN IDEEA HOW TO GET THIS PROGRAM FOR FREE? :))

I have we travel gps navigation on my samsung jet,it is free!! They are using garmin maps so the coverage is the best,it is the java aplication.The application is not perfect,but it will get you from A to B for free..

This is a most stylish phone from Samsung. Samsung S8000 is a stylish phone which adds prestige to the owner. I would definitely go for this set as the video quality of the handset is at its best. The camera inbuilt in the handset is best for still shots.
The handset is available in the market at reasonable price.
