nuviphone is here (well… in Asia) anyone still excited?
Jul 26, 2009 asus, garmin, gps navigation, phones

After a loooooong wait, Garmin and Asus has finally made the Garmin-Asus nüvifone G60 available in Asia. (more precisely Taiwan on July 27; Singapore and Malaysia end of August.)
We still don’t have any details on the pricing but their press release say this:
In Asia, it will be available through carriers and retail channels. The nüvifone G60 is on schedule for delivery in Europe and the United States in the second half of 2009, and additional details about pricing, availability and carriers will be announced in the coming months
After all this wait how much would you be willing to pay for this phone?

I was waiting for nuvifone for about a year. Last month I bought G2 with android and I am more then happy. No more interest on nuviphone at all.

I wanted this phone from the day it was announced more than a year ago. It’s too bad that it didn’t come out when it was supposed to. They would have had a TON of takers. But now I’m worried it’s too late and people will realize that they can probably get a better phone.

To me the delay is nothing… If you want a quality and up to date tech device it may be worth it. It is a device created from the ground up. Bugs should be resolved for the most part, so there will be less aggravation after spending the money! :) Patience… I think this phone/navigation system will blow you away. It should have more bang than the iPhone! Go Garmin!
