Samsung Omnia Pop has just been released by Softbank in Japan. In addition to featuring a GPS receiver it also has a 3″ screen with 800×480 resolution. That means get ready to leave your GPS navigation system at home.

It should be mentioned that while it MAY indeed have GPS, the GPS has been disabled by SoftBank and no software on-board allows for GPS of any kind. That plus the English OS is horrific, it only plays WMA files, not MP3 for some god-forsaken reason and the screen is sooooo teeny that it is meant for tweenage fingers. There’s a good reason it comes with a styles. Oh and for those keeping track, it does NOT come with a charger… yes… I will repeat myself… it does —-NOT—- come with a battery charger. You MUST pay 2,800 yen extra.
