iPhone 3G S with digital compass
Jun 9, 2009 gps navigation, phones

As far as Navigadget is concerned the biggest news coming out of the Apple’s WWDC was the new TomTom GPS navigation app for the iPhone.
However another thing that’s worth mentioning is the new built-in digital compass featured with the latest iPhone 3G S. The digital compass works just like a magnetic needle compass and can let you know which way you’re facing. And if you happen to have Google Maps open at the time it will rotate maps to always match the direction you’re facing. Kinda neat.

I have an iphone 3G; is the compass with latitude and longitude that comes with the 3GS available as an application that can be purchased and used with the 3G phone?
Thanks.
