We thought we’d talk about TrafficMaster SmartNav since it has a different concept than most other GPS navigation systems out there.

It features only one button and with a press you get connected to the control center to speak with a personal assistant. Then you get to speak with this real person who will enter your destination into SmartNav central computers which has data on traffic delays. Then this optimized route which supposedly avoids traffic delays is automatically downloaded to your vehicle and you get your usual turn-by-turn directions. You’re always being watched so if you make a wrong turn or road conditions change you’ll be able to download new directions.

Other features include safety camera warnings, and a tracking service for stolen vehicles.

This pretty much is a UK version OnStar we have here in the U.S. But this one also works in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Switzerland.
