In addition to LG GM730, LG Arena was also announced at MWC yesterday. We had already talked about the new Arena as LG KM900 earlier this month.
Arena uses LG’s new new 3D S-Class User Interface and is the first phone to offer a mobile version Dolby surround sound. What’s behind their new user interface is a powerful AMD processor to render those fancy graphics and animations.
Arena has a built-in FM transmitter (not receiver) meaning it can beam music to your car stereo and such and thanks to the standard 3.5mm audio jack it is compatible with almost any headphone. LG Arena has a 3.0″ touchscreen with WVGA resolution which makes it ideal for watching DVD quality DivX or Xvid movies. Did we mention Arena can record upto 120 frames per second slow motion video?
LG Arena comes with 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD slot which supports up to 32GB card – meaning you can have about 40GB of media with you – in your pocket. There’s a 5MP camera on board too.
Other features of LG Arena include 3G network support, Wi-Fi, various Google services such as Local Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Blogs. Last but not least you’ve got an A-GPS receiver which lets you geotag your media.
Arena will first come out in Europe in March and globally soon after.
