We want to thank IO Data of Japan for providing the basics we may all need one day. Just a simple GPS receiver on a USB stick. No bluetooh, no A-GPS, or anything else.
The receiver is SiRF Star III chipset and comes with Super Mapple Digital Ver9, a popular Japanese map software. It goes for about 137 €… via

bloody expensive if you ask me.
I’d prefer to get myself an Inforad K1 (€49) and a copy of Garmin Mobile PC (€69). That makes for €120 with delivery in France and on top of that the K1 does 5 hours of speed camera warning and GPS logging …
