Harman GPS navigation systems in Mercedes

You know how much we love completely integrated solutions for GPS navigation systems. It is even better when the system is easily upgradable with newer maps and hardware. Well, Harman and Mercedes are working together to do just that.

They’re trying design around the idea that every part of the system that fits into the car is standardized while the black box that does all the processing can be upgraded swiftly.

The first 8 Mercedes models to include the integrated Harman nav system will be ready for 2010 and possibly allow car makers to compete with low prices of after market GPS navigation systems… via
