We had talked about the arrival of TomTom GO 630 a while ago but yesterday the blogosphere was filled with the ‘arrival’ of this new model once again. We can understand where they’re coming from since when we talked about this it was only available in Europe but this time around TomTom GO 630 is coming out in U.S; exclusively at Radio Shack to be more precise.

The specs at TomTom’s site are as follows:

  • IQ Routes technology
  • Advanced Lane Guidance
  • TomTom Map Share technology
  • Complete maps of the US and Canada
  • Voice address input
  • Handsfree calling
  • Text-to-Speech for spoken street names
  • TomTom’s listing price is currently at $400 but Radio Shack is giving them away for $350.

      What’s the difference between 630 and 730? Isn’t 740 coming out soon?

    2. Jeff T says:

@Qiao - The main difference is that the 730 has an MP3 player and an FM transmitter built in, while the 630 does not include those features.
