I bought this unit in jan of 2009 and must say it is garbage. It freezes up, wont work when its hot never back tracks me along the same route I came in on and the route it picks is usually longer by hours.I just bought the upgrade card and got it today and it doesnt ever work and freezes on the menu screen.teletype advertised a new and simpler menu screen with a bunch of new features and they arent even there.I am from canada so with the exchange I paid just shy of a 1000 bucks. And the bulk of my runs are state side. Now Im in for all this money and cant afford to buy a different unit or buy the map books I need cause thats still going to cost a few hundred bucks.SO THIS IS WHERE ONE WOULD SAY, “SO THATS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TAKING IT DRY FROM BEHIND”.So hopfully this will help others from making the same mistake.

It sucks, freezes, runs you through non truck routes. I was in Las Vegas on I15 and it wanted me to detour 3 miles off highway then come back to same highway only to keep me from driving on I15 for two blocks and it was set on quickest for trucks. It has almost no features and you can’t get large map it shows city level max so can’t see states. DON”T BUY, you will be so dissappointed. I use to have Jensen Touch and Go and compared to this it was incrediable. When I say it freeze I don’t mean once in a while I mean if you deviate from trip, plan for it to freeze. Voice is same as computer voice. when it says “CA 99″ for highway 99 in CA it says ka 99. Junk Junk Junk.

I just got the updated 7200 version of this giant debockle. Folks, absolutely do not waste your money on this thing. These other reviews are correct in saying that it does freeze all the time, the routes it calculates suck and it will still take you to bridges. I have found that all this company does is includes the bridges that are in your truck atlas all the ones that are not on state roads are not included. This is an absolute disgrace that something like this can be sold at such a high price at this day in age.

Go from using something like a TOM TOM to using this and it is like going back in time 40 years. The software is so old and outdated. It just sucks!! There is simply no other way to say it. Good Idea, it was just rushed and it completely shows.

    It is Junk.
