pig tones: politically incorrect GPS

The company seen above is offering what it calls politically incorrect voice packages fro your GPS. It is currently available for Garmin or TomTom GPS units and the voices cost between $12 and $18 to download. The voices currently offered vary from Yoda to George W to someone called a Kung Fu Pimp. There are also adult film stars who give directions in a very sexually explicit manner. Having Yoda say, “Finding a new route I am”, is a sure way to spice up any car trip. Usually we pass on the gimmick add ons for GPS units, but the Jedi mind trick may have clouded our judgment on this one. The good people over at P.I.G.Tones were nice enough to let us take the Jesus download for a test drive. We have to tell you that spicing up the GPS is a cheap way to get a few laughs out of your GPS unit.

Installation is very straightforward. For Garmin after the purchase is downloaded Garmin installer opens and adds the voice. For TomTom after the zip file is downloaded you simply open it and click on tomtom.exe. Unfortunately pigtones does not support text to speech at this time.
