OCN 8: OnCourse Navigator
Oct 2, 2008 gps navigation, software

OnCourse Navigator is a navigation software designed for Windows Mobile based PDA devices or Smartphones and has coverage of both USA and Canada. There are over 10443000 kilometers of updated roads, and over 284000 points of interests covered on the maps including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
The latest version from OnCourse Navigator is 8. OCN 8 is available in 30 languages and it even provides 3D rendering of buildings (where available) in addition to providing graphics to correctly show the elevation of your position and your surroundings.
To run OCN8 obviously you’ll need a device with embedded or connected GPS receiver – not to mention a smartphone or any other Windows Mobile based device.
OCN 8 comes in 3 different versions. 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB. It is all the same product however the amount of free space you get with 8GB is a lot more than what you get with the 2GB. The whole contents of OCN 8 actually only take 1.2GB. BuyGPSNow offers all three versions which cost $60, $80, and $115 respectively.
It comes on a microSD card but miniSD and SD Adapters are included in your purchase.

I’m very interested in this. My XV6700 lacks GPS, however, and my LG9900 has GPS but it’s not Windows Mobile based.
Will there be an iPhone version of the product, or does the Apple Store’s exclusive policy put the kaibosh on that idea?
