Suunto X10 giveaway
Sep 26, 2008 gps navigation, wrist watch

People at Suunto were nice enough let us giveaway the Suunto X10 we reviewed couple of weeks ago.
Suunto has many features including navigation, altimeter, barometer, weather alarm, digital compass, ability to track, export, import routes and waypoints, speedometer, and of course a watch. However you have to see their X10 site to get a better idea of this GPS watch’s features.
Suunto X10 is worth just over $500 and it is for sale on a few retailers including Amazon.
To participate you need to subscribe to our feed and leave a comment below with an email address we can reach you at.
We will ship this out to a U.S. address only. Sorry rest of the world. Also duplicate entries, emails, IP addresses will be disqualified.
We’ll close this article for comments a week from today and after that we’ll announce the winner.

At least you’re not making people try to explain what creative use they would put this device to, and how they fry people’s brains or whatever.
Cool!
Thanks!

This watch would be awesome to geotag the photos I take daily. It would be more convenient than carrying a heavy PND everywhere, that’s for sure.

I am a huge Suunto fan, I have used a Vector that I purchased overseas for over 7 years now and my only complaint is finding a battery can be hard at times. I have really wanted to get the x9i but thought that it was a little on the “ugly” side with the two tone face, however, obviously they fixed that with the x10. I would absolutely love to have one and would use it on a regular basis in the most extreme conditions. I am in the Navy and my next deployment would give me the perfect opportunity to test it in conditions that are not available to everyone. I can wait to either get one myself or hear the results of whom ever is the lucky person. Thanks Navigadget!

Count me in. :-)
September 30th, 2008 at 7:30 am
This would be fairly nice to use for my running I’ve been doing, would be ‘carrying’ a device that wasn’t really made for that anyway.

Ok something is strange. I entered a comment here and I was the 2nd comment and at the time there were only 2 entries. I checked back and my entry was gone. So I entered again and subscribed to your feed and my entry was there still as entry number 2. Then I checked last night 9/30 and it was there still only 2 entries mine being second. Then Tonight I check and my comment is gone yet again but so is the person who entered 1st. So I will try again for the third time and hope it sticks lol . My family likes to go Geocashing and since we don’t own a hand held GPS I have to borrow one from a friend when I can but since he does Geocashing too it’s hard to catch him at a time when he isn’t using it. This item is awesome and would be perfect since you where it like a watch. If you want to check out about Geocashing and why I need this wonderful item check out my blog post from about 2 months ago here
http://exotic1.blogspot.com/2008/08/whats-in-this-one.html
Thanks for having such a fantastic giveaway and I hope my post sticks this time around.
October 1st, 2008 at 6:43 pm
I also left a comment and it no longer is here :( but I did subscribe to your feed, and enjoy new gadgets, and reading reviews on them before I buy them myself. Thanks for having this giveaway, sorry if this is a duplicate entry but I came back and found my comment was no longer here…

I am a Firefighter/EMT in Montana and I would love for one of these watches. We often use GPS coordinates to land Medevac helicopters and locate assets during wildland fires. To have that functionality on your wrist would be a real lifesaver.

I just graduated from high school and spend most of my time in the Rockies. I’d love to use this watch.

October 4th, 2008 at 10:28 am
I’m a serious outdoors person. I hike, boat, 4×4, and dirt bike. I need a gadget that I can take easily with me to help me navigate, and I need something that tells me what’s going on with the weather (barometer). An interesting feature that I haven’t had the chance to use on any device is taking the tracks and looking at them on mapping software, such as Google Earth. This sounds like a good idea because sometimes when I go out 4×5 or on the dirt, I have no idea where I’ve been in relationship to everything else. I’d like to try it out.
