microsoft’s modular GPS idea


Microsoft just got a patent for a GPS navigation device that can also be used a base for attaching other components such as a cell phone, digital camera, and more.

Input and output for the base unit is made through various components. A wireless modem, GPS receiver, microphone, digital camera, and keypad, as well as storage, touchscreen display, are configured to receive user input.
