Live-Trac PT-10 is the new GPS tracking device from LiveViewGPS. Measuring only 3.5″x2.08″x0.75″, this is a slim solution for your live tracking needs.
LiveViewGPS is designed for both consumer and professional users; it can provide 10 second position updates when moving over 10 mph and updates every 20 feet when moving less than 10 mph. The device also features 90-day historical playback – a highly useful feature that let’s you know where its been.
Live-Trac PT-10 works like most other real time GPS tracking systems. It has both a GPS module to triangulate the location and a GSM module to transmit this data back to their servers so you can track the movement of the device in detail on a map on their website.
LiveViewGPS relies on AT&T nation wide wireless network for calling home, and tracks 14 satellites at once to get a quick and reliable position fix. Since this live tracking device is completely mobile you’re not limited to one vehicle or person – you can move it around as you wish.
A couple other features and specifications of the PT-10 include:
- Zone Alerts – Set up to 20 different zones that notify the user when the PT-10 enters/exits pre-defined areas on a map
- Robust average Operating Time of 8 hours while in continuous motion
If 8 hours is not enough you’ll be please to hear that they also can provide 50 watt hour external battery pack to extend your battery life.
Live-Trac PT-10 costs $349 initially and then there’s the $39.99 monthly subscription fee.

I got one of these devices last week. It’s actually about the size of a Motorola RAZR with about 1/8″ of additional depth for the battery in the back.
So far I’m VERY impressed with the product. I’ve never seen a battery-operated product like this which transmitted in TRUE realtime with 10-second updates. It even transmits from inside the TRUNK of my car (behind metal). I’ve never seen anything like it.
This product gets a solid 4 stars.
