Navigon started getting some attention last couple of days since they released their new GPS navigation system Navigon 7200T.

What really caught our eye with the new 7200T is the Reality View Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, and the Landmark View 3D features. All these combined will be really refreshing after being used to looking at 3 colored 2D maps.

The Landmark View 3D feauture uses hundreds of richly-textured 3D landmarks across the U.S. and Canada like the Empire State Building and the White House. Reality View Pro on the other hand displays photo-realistic 3D views with actual road signs and lane guidance for almost every highway interchange and exits. And finally Lane Assistant Pro helps drivers prepare to make an upcoming exit or turn by providing visual lane guidance. NAVIGON’s second generation of Lane Assistant provides a lane map complete with arrows and actual road geometry.

Other features include:

  • 4.3″ Flat Panel Touchscreen
  • Free Real-Time Traffic Updates for Life
  • Voice Destination Entry
  • Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling
  • Text-to-Speech Voice Guidance
  • Exit Guide
  • ZAGAT Ratings and Reviews

Also worth mentioning is the 600Mhz processor, 1500mAh battery, microSD card slot, and the SiRF GPS receiver chip with InstantFix II.
