asus r710 hud demo

Published on August 3rd, 2008 in asus, gps navigation

Asus R710 with heads up display (HUD) was announced on Navigadget a while ago but we were left wondering what it actually looked like on a windshield.

Now we have a video of Asus R710 with HUD doing a demo at some trade show.

The HUD (Heads Up Display) projects navigation instructions that include directions, speed etc. on the windshield in front of the driver. This not only helps users focus on the roads ahead, it also prevents users to be distracted by the device itself – hugely improving car safety.

But if it prevents accidents, and makes navigating across tricky junctions a little easier since you won’t have to move your eyes from the road, seems like a great idea to me. [Navigadget] [...]
