Voyager GPS camera. It is a really smart/interesting merge of different technologies. The GPS logs your location, accelerometer senses danger, video camera lets you playback upto 10 seconds before and 20 seconds after the event, and the SD card records all of this. It costs $450.
The idea is to protect yourself from unfair insurance claims and false accusations. We’re not sure how this would help if this is on your windshield as shown. More than likely it’ll record how you rear-ended some poor old lady with your SUV. We suggest you install it on your rear window :)
Anyhow. As far as specs you’ve got a 1.3MP CMOS camera with 30IPS 1280 x 960, Mpeg4 320 x 240 (QVGA) or 640 x 480 (VGA) recording ability, G-Sensor, emergency record button, and integrated GPS.
It comes with car charger, windshield mount, 1GB SD card, and the necessary software…via
