In addition to Garmin Nuvi 500 we just mentioned nuvi 550 also was announced yesterday. Nuvi 550 and 500 are almost identical except the maps. Nuvi 550 comes with street map coverage of the U.S. and Canada.
Some specs and features we haven’t mentioned yet for the two new models include the 8 hour removable battery, support for MSN Direct or TMC traffic module, and the digital compass.
Garmin nuvi 550 is also expected to sell for $500 at the third quarter of this year.
