at&t navigation global edition not for iPhone

AT&T today announced the global edition for their navigation software and by ‘global’ they mean 20 countries. Oh, and minus the users of iPhone 3G. No matter where you live in the world you will not be able to make this navigation software work with your iPhone.

AT&T today announced a AT&T Navigator Global Edition. That means people who own AT&T Tilt, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Curve 8310, BlackBerry Pearl 8110, BlackJack II and MOTO Q 9h phones can now get addresses, maps, turn-by-turn directions and more on their phones in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean and most of Western Europe. Just in time for the Olympics, AT&T’s service covers six cities where Olympic events will take place in China.

As far as getting GPS navigation on your iPhone 3G you’re gonna have to wait for Telenavvia
