Garmin just recently announced Garmin Oregon 200. This model is the entry level in the Oregon series even though it costs a whopping $480. Oregon 200 is a handheld GPS receiver that comes with preloaded basemap and offers microSD card slot, and 3″ screen. It has a rugged design and it is IPX7 waterproof.
If you get Garmin Oregon 200 keep in mind you’ll probably end up spending some extra cash to buy some detailed maps. In fact you can even get turn by turn navigation directions if but detailed road maps.
It uses 2AA batteries and supposedly lasts up to 16 hours on those.

I’m amazed and happy to say that garmin products is of high quality albeit the price is also a bit high but it’s worth paying.
