Lately there’s been a lot of coverage on Garmin’s new Nuviphone including a lot of live pics and videos. We thought we’d summarize all that stuff for you.

First there’s news that manufacturing of nuviphone will be outsourced to Asustek – a first for Garmin. Let’s hope it goes smoothly.

And then there’s this video showing off the sexy UI.

The video says “we’re working with a few carriers globally…” in case you are wondering.

    Looks pretty impressive. Just saw this on Engadget. Although it’s nuviFone with an ‘f’ not nuviphone.

    If it’s as easy to use as my nuvi 350, I could justify getting one.

    I’m a Brit and always follow the US market to get a pointer
    as to where our own market is going. I am also a big fan
    of GPS and its that I’m mostly interested in with regards to the
    Nuviphone. The other thing that’s of interest is the price! I don’t care
    how slick the marketing is, in these days of econmoic downturns and all
    that Garmin better get it right otherwise they’ll have a turkey on their hands.

    Now that the new iphone has come out, I would have thought Garmin would start putting out a lot more info about this. I’ve been dying to see this thing up close and personal (fully working and on a network) since I first heard about it. I just wish they would hurry up and start giving us more details!
