Dash Express – send2Car
Published on May 27th, 2008 in gps navigation
As you may already we’ve had our Dash Express review unit for about almost a week now. Today we’d like to show how to wirelessly send an address to your GPS navigation device from my.dash.net…
We have our GPS unit right next to our computer – but obviously this is not necessary. Thanks to the GPRS module the device could be in the garage – or even in another state. It wouldn’t matter.
First go to my.dash.net. After you login you’ll see the Send2Car box on the right hand side of the screen. Type, or just copy-paste your address here. And then click “look up address”.

On the next screen my.dash.net verifies your address and pinpoints the location on a map. Now all you have to do is hit “send to your car”.

About a second later you’ll see this on your Dash Express:

And you’re done. There’s even an easier way – thanks to a browser plug-in. After installing the browser plug-in you can highlight any address on a website and then right click which will bring up a “send to car” option. This way you won’t even have to login to my.dash.net.

I’m stuck about establishing my account. Pretty annoyed by the lack of customer service. If the Dash unit I rec’d for Chriswtmas wasn’t a gift; I’d return it. If anyone ever reads anything related to customer service, can you please reply or call me at 608 643 6707?
