HTC Diamond will be available at T-Mobile as MDA Compact IV will be debuted at a press event coming up on 6th May.

uhhm….is the camera flash a latest update that no one else knew about? because all other websites and pictures say/show there is no flash. but if this is the latest info, that’d be fantastic

I’ve watched a lot of the presentation videos, and of people actually trying the Touch Diamond out, and this is what I think:
1) HTC should hire anyone that knows how to explain things properly,
because the guy that shows all the features of the phone, in the launch video sounds like he’s reading a bedtime children’s book with lots of pronunciation mistakes, gets caught on almost every word that comes out of his mouth, and repeats everything about 3 times over.
2) In that same YouTube video, they do not show you anything of the keyboard or typing mode, but I watched a few other videos on people using it, and its pretty choppy and sloppy.
3) I lived in china for over 2 years and I experienced and learned major differences between an American or European software design and mechanism in the phone as a pose the chinese phones that have really cool looking features on it but at the end of the day don’t function.

Rubbish….. the picture above is the follow up on the htc cruise. From first hand (t-mobile) i got the information that the mda compact IV is the follow up on the Htc cruise.
The Htc diamond will be delivered under it’s own name with the t-mobile logo on it. So the specs of the mda compact IV may look like the diamond but it isn’t the diamond.
Both will be released on 2 june 2008, t-mobile store Netherlands

saw on sntradersonline they were selling it 749$… but US version isnt yet out and who is gona pay for this triband phone it shud not be that expensive waiting for its us version then will see and hope after they 3g iphone its price will drop

i have =both phones
iphone 3g and htc diamond
iphone 3g is only phone i have personally felt after using other pda that it can be considered as simple as using a cheapest phones with no functions it makes things so simple as if they dont exist with such simplicity . I bought the phone i played with its function for maybe 30 min and i got borred, now i use them only if i fielt there need.

the phone has windows biggest draw back….
i have this phone for more than a week still nt able to figure out some functions for eg networking etc..
wifi starts by itself no matter what u do …the phone has crap buttons it makes my fingure sore.
the worst part make me laugh battery life on the menu bar shows hardly any life left still if u click on it shows 70%
also battery life is crap the phone never gets fully charged and in 5 or 6 hrs stand by the battery dies
so i hope now u know which phone u should go for

its in totally different league .
