Ovation MC992D: HSPA modem with GPS

Novatel today announced the Ovation MC992D HSPA modem. The high-speed, USB data modem is capable of providing Internet connectivity almost anywhere in the world, with its support for HSPA, WCDMA, EDGE and GPRS networks.
Ovation MC992D is designed to provide download speeds of 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps. Measuring only 70×25x13.5 mm the modem fits in any pocket making you more portable than ever.
The modem’s also has GPS capability enabling users to retrieve location data from GPS satellites and utilize GPS navigation and location-based applications.
Ovation MC992D will be available in Q3 through a variety of Novatel Wireless’s tier-one operator customers.
