navigation system with breathalyzer
Feb 20, 2008 gps navigation, misc news

We have already mentioned NDrive twice within the last week but we’re going to have to bring them up once again, thanks to their world’s first GPS navigation system with a breathalyzer. The G400 has an actual alcohol sensor on its side and can tell you the amount of alcohol per liter in your blood.
When you first start the application it calibrates; accounting for the already present amount in the environment and the sensor, and then it asks you to blow. Seriously! Check out the video:
It is coming soon… in Portugal for only 200 €… via

if it’s breathalyzer how can it tell alcohol in blood because it needs to have blood test for it?

glass -> mouth -> stomach -> bloodstream -> lungs -> alveoli -> air

For a full range of breathalyzers you can check out http://www.safetygears.net/breathalyzers-c-27.html
I would be careful with a Breathalyzer built into a navigation system because sensors eventually go bad and need to be replaced.

i wonder if the one who is driving will stop by using this device.

Laite on jo myynnissä ainakin Portugalissa 200 euron hintaan. (via Navigadget) [...]
