I just bought one with maps for the whole of Europe,(inc. Eastern),Hong Kong,Zimbabwe, all of USA. All maps look good for the places I actually know in Spain, Texas, France and UK.
Very versatile. Nearly everything is adjustable to personal preferences. Clear screen and voice commands.
Only tried it in UK up to now. Can lag behind actual position by 5 yds or so. Some nice features like auto zoom. Great range of map colour schemes.
Not too obvious how to input route. Huge range of menus.

The problem with losing Polnav Maps are that you will have to buy another licence. There is no way they can check that you have bought maps as they do not keep records.
We have only just discovered this problem exists due to 2 others with the same problem. Altina do not keep records on behalf of Polnav either.

We are currently embarrassed by this find, and Polnav have not attemoted to yet address the problem of self erasing maps. It shouldn’t happen but it obviously does and we are asking them to consider some form of support for registered users.

But like many requests to large organizations it could be a year before anything is done.

In the meantime the best I can do is to offer to rewrite your SD card with another brand of map for your area DESTINATOR which was Altina’s Primary Map supplier.

Contact me at Marbella Altina Australia marbellaaust@nettiser.com.au, produce your receipt of purchase and I will point you to the map downnload URL. But first use the registration button on http://www.nettiser.com.au/marbella/registration.htm
