Garmin recently announced Garmin Mobile PC navigation software and a new receiver GPS 20X. The navigation software turns any PC into a Garmin GPS navigation system thanks to its familiar “where to” and “view map” interface.

The software features route shaping which allows users to select specific roads they want to travel and customize their route to avoid certain roads and/or geographic areas. Users can also utilize the track log feature and see an electronic bread crumb trail that shows where they’ve been. It also includes a trip computer automatically records trip data.

  • Garmin Mobile PC + GPS 20X: $100
  • GPS 20X: $70
  • Garmin Mobile PC: $60

Currently the only maps available are that of North America. If you need something bluetooth compatible check out the older Garmin 10X.
