TomTom is readying a new device for the U.S. market called TomTom LINK 300 which just got approved by the FCC. TomTom LINK 300 pairs up with TomTom Work and provides additional functionality to your navigation system such as the ability to scan through orders, exchange text messages with the main office and keep track of working hours as well as breaks.

The device offers two way connectivity so the main office can easily send jobs, delivery and pick up orders and dispatch you as fast as possible to the desired destination. All this info can also be stored in your navigations system’s memory for later retrieval once you’re done with your 2 hour lunch break. Other features include the ability to send reports back to the main office updating them on the status of the job, or the conditions such as refueling break, traffic delay, customer not available, etc…

No word on pricing just yet – but you shouldn’t worry since your work will probably provide you one for free… via
