Blaupunkt TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 Edition

OMG it is not a rectangle! German Blaupunkt just introduced a new GPS navigation system called TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 Edition that is round. We do not know what benefit this may offer other than taking up more space on your dash but I guess Blaupunkt just wanted to come up with something out of the ordinary.
The specs for Lucca 3.5 are however pretty standard offering an anti-glare, high-contrast 3.5″ TFT touch screen color display in 4:3 format, Centrality Atlas III Dual Core 400 MHz processor, mapping for UK/ Ireland and major roads of Europe pre-installed and detailed maps of other 21 Western European counties offered on a separate DVD.
More features:
- SD/SDHC/MMC card reader
- Theft-protected thanks to PIN code (yeah, that’ll stop’em!)
- Integrated TMC receiver
- Display of speed limits with visual and acoustic speed limit warnings
- Error-tolerant input of city names
We do not know when this will available in the U.S. but it sure will come out in Europe first.

This is the cutest GPS unit I have seen. It is great to see a GPS unit that isn’t the shape of a rectangle. Thanks for the post.
