USB GPS for laptops
Published on September 20th, 2007 in gps navigation, misc news
IO Data of Japan recently introduced a simple USB GPS device for laptops called NaviClip. The device will probably appeal to those who don’t want to buy a stand alone GPS navigation system for their vehicle but use their PC’s as a navigator. The manufacturer was also nice enough to throw in a USB extension in case you want to glue this to the top of your car.
It is probably the lightest GPS receiver out there weighing only 18 grams and measuring 53×24x11mm but it is not really fair to compare to other bluetooth GPS receivers that also have to carry an extra antenna and a battery pack.
It will be available next month for about ¥24,000 (~$200, or €150)… via
