Takara GP43 – for Europe

Takara just announced a new PND: the GP43. It has a wide screen at 4.3 inches (10.9 cm). The navigation software is Takara TK6.1 which is based on Destinator 6 and it ships with maps of Europe coming from Navteq which is provided on a 1GB SD card.

The good news for European drivers is that speed and camera radar locations are preloaded and their update is free. Another new feature with Takara is that GP43 also has bluetooth support.

• integrated SiRF III GPS receiver
• wide screen with 16/9 ratio, 480×272 resolution (WQVGA) and 16.5M colors
• 400 MHz processor
• MiniUSB
• Multimedia player that supports MPEG4, MP3 and JPG
