Packard Bell Compasseo 800
Sep 3, 2007 gps navigation

Packard Bell of Europe is attending IFA 2007 in Berlin as well and they’ve got their GPS navigation systems to show off. One of them is the Compasseo 800. It has a 4.3″ wide screen so it is not necessarily their entry level system.
The bluetooth function of the Compasseo 800 lets you connect your mobile phone with the Compasseo and lets you scroll through your contacts with the touch of a finger.
Compasseo 800 also lets you store notes and contacts during your journey with their phone numbers on its memory so you won’t have to deal with tiny mobile phone displays. It can also synchronize with Outlook which simplifies the input since it is done via a CSV file.
Compasseo 800 has an improved screen with a resolution of 480×272 pixels. It uses a SiRF Star III GPS receiver and a 64MB SDRAM. Depending on the model you can expect to have TMC and TMC pro services as well.
Maps are provided by Navteq. With the 1GB version you can get regional maps and the 2GB storage you’ll have maps of all of Europe.
It should be available before the end of the year.
