According this dude’s podcast GPhone is definitely confirmed and it will have GPS feature. We’re not exactly sure when but they mention as soon as ‘2 weeks’ during the conversation.

His contact is apparently a Google employee that said “google application suit is going to play a huge role” and “the thought process behind GPhone functionality is less about beating the iPhone and more about the beating the $100 laptop.”

And of course he says at some point “it is gonna have GPS on it” which will work nicely with Google Maps. And the final detail they reveal is that it’ll run a modified Linux kernel.

We’re not exactly sure if we’re already past the “is GPhone for real?” but we already find ourselves asking if it has GPS…
