Navigon today announced that their new model, 5100, that we talked about earlier this year will be available in the U.S. as early as this month.

Navigon
5100 offers text-to-speech function which provides spoken driving directions and street names, subscription-free real-time traffic information, and even lane assistance for certain freeways that suggests an optimum lane for your route.

Navigon 5100 has a 3.5″ touch screen, measures less than inch thick but costs $500. However it is probably the only navigation system out there that can do photo-realistic virtual reality view of complex interchanges with road geometry - which Navigon calls reality view.
