Jul 6, 2007 gps navigation

Humminbird 997c is a brand new fishing system with network capabilities with wireless sonar link and a 16 channel WAAS/EGNOS GPS receiver. It comes with a 8″ screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution which promises to bring picture-like images of the depths of the ocean.
It comes with built-in maps of the USA coastline, inland lakes and rivers to 30 meters per pixel resolution which is no way near what Google Maps can provide but it is better than no maps. Other fancy features include two memory card expansion slots to save screen captures or the ability to use other maps, dual microprocessors, graphics co-processor and triple channel sonar transmitter/receiver to deliver fast, smooth operation.
It costs $2000… via

997 is one of the best priced units out there. perfect out of the box but really do need the card as the Unimap is’nt much.
