DRM module from Honeywell
Jun 7, 2007 gps navigation
Just a few days after we talked about SiRFDirect, Honeywell today introduced a very similar product called DRM 4000 – a dead reckoning module. The device is designed to provide position information where GPS signals can’t reach or just degraded. DRM 4000 contains 10 sensors on board: three gyros, accelerometers and magnetometers and a barometric altimeter.
“The miniature size of this state-of-the-art dead reckoning device enables man-portable applications like personnel tracking, disaster relief operations, safe pathway guidance and mapping tasks,” stated Tamara Bratland, Director, Magnetic Sensors, Honeywell Defense and Space. “The DRM™4000 uses patented motion classification algorithms to analyze walking motion and compensate for unique user kinematics.”

This DMR400 is very interesting for our vehicle tracking in cities like Mecca with a lot of tunnels inside the city
So, we need to buy 5 samples for evaluation asap
