DRM module from Honeywell

drm.jpgJust a few days after we talked about SiRFDirect, Honeywell today introduced a very similar product called DRM 4000 – a dead reckoning module. The device is designed to provide position information where GPS signals can’t reach or just degraded. DRM 4000 contains 10 sensors on board: three gyros, accelerometers and magnetometers and a barometric altimeter.

“The miniature size of this state-of-the-art dead reckoning device enables man-portable applications like personnel tracking, disaster relief operations, safe pathway guidance and mapping tasks,” stated Tamara Bratland, Director, Magnetic Sensors, Honeywell Defense and Space. “The DRM™4000 uses patented motion classification algorithms to analyze walking motion and compensate for unique user kinematics.”

The #1 thing that isn’t sitting well with me is that Nadal peaked earlier than Federer, yet he’s continuing to exceed Federer at the same age every year….

    Also great points, TennisFan….
