Scott announces NVX 500 PMP

Scott announced a new GPS navigation device: the NVX 500 PMP. It has a 3.5 inch screen, a SiRF Star III GPS chip, and the Alturion navigation software.
Its main features:
- SiRF III GPS
- 3.5″ touch screen TFT 320 X 240 pixels (QVGA)
- Samsung Processor at 300 MHz
- SD/MMC port
- Lithium-Polymer Battery with a 3 hour life
- Alturion navigation software with Navteq maps including fixed and mobile radar warnings
- Windows CE.net 4.2
- Audio player (MP3, WAV, WMA9)
- Image viewer (JPEG, JIF, BMP, GIF, png)
- Video player (AVI, MPEG1, MPEG4, WMV9, ASF)
- Dimensions :13 x 8.5 x 2.2 cm
- Weight : 200 G
It ships with USB synchronization cable, mounting kits, and the car charger.
NVX 500 PMP will be sold with maps of France and but it will also include neighboring countries up to 20km inside the border. (Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium). It will be sold for 199€.
A version with maps of Western Europe will also be available for 249€… via
