XM capable Jensen GPS navigator NVXM1000 almost ready
May 1, 2007 gps navigation

Audiovox’s Jensen NVXM1000 GPS navigator which was revealed at CES show in Vegas beginning of this year is getting ready to be released to consumers in the U.S. NVXM1000 just got its FCC approval last week and from the looks of the user manual it’ll have a nice set of features – but we’re a bit reluctant to say it’s worth the expected $800 price tag. You decide for yourself:
- Atlas II 300MHz CPU
- Windows CE v5.0 Installed
- 1″ HDD 8GB Located
- 4″ TFT Touch Screen (16.7M Color) Display
- High Speed USB Support
- Li-Ion (3.7v 2400mA) Internal Battery Located
- Navteq (11M POI) Navigation Mapping
- XM Ready
- External Memory Extend (SD/MMC Slot)
- Photo Album
- Built-in Speaker
- FM Transmitter
- A/V Input Jack (supports back-up cameras)
- Audio Output Jack
Yes, the 1″ 8GB hard disk drive and 2400mAh battery is a nice touch but no bluetooth for $800?
