TomTom ONE XL – only 2 hours battery life

TomTom just announced a new wide screen product called TomTom ONE XL. The new device which will start to retail all over Europe, US, Australia and South Africa from May 2007 does not have any new exciting feature except its wide 4.3″ screen. It will cost $400 in U.S. I guess TomTom couldn’t find a high capacity battery at that price range since the one they put in the new ONE XL will only last you 2 hours (probably an optimistic figure). Make sure to take your car charger with you at all times.
Here are some of the specs:
- High sensitivity GPS chipset
- 32 MB RAM
- CPU 266 MHz
- 4.3 inch full TFT colour LCD touchscreen (480 x 272 pixels, 64,000 colors)
- Internal Litium-Ion battery (2 hours operation)
- 4.7″ x 3.4″ x 1.2″, 7.4 ounces
- Bluetooth 2.0
