Sony NV-U92T with ultra-wide 4.8″ touch screen

We now have a much nicer picture and full details about the new Sony NV-U92T. Even though we mentioned bluetooth last time and it is right there on the picture there’s no mention of it from Sony.
Here are the main highlights of NV-U92T:
- depth of just 20mm
- ultra-wide 4.8-inch touch screen
- linear display of route waypoints
- Gesture Commands
- Position Plus*
- 2GB flash memory
- Memory Stick Slot (yikes)
- TMC receiver
*Position Plus: This technology ensures accurate, uninterrupted routing even when GPS signals are temporarily compromised. This can happen when a vehicle is travelling beneath a tunnel or bridge, between tall buildings or under trees with dense foliage that can obscure satellite signals. An acceleration sensor and pressure sensor interpret vehicle motion to assure more stable, reliable positioning information.

Does anyone know if you can get maps for australia for the Sony GPS (NV-U92T) I am going over on a holiday and would like to use my new GPS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone worked out how to install the free 12 month safety camera update on the NV-U92T?? It should be so easy but al I ever get is “An error occured. File has not been copied”

Cracked it.. all 2GB of of storage was full. Manually remove all the language files you don’t need and it should install.

I too am looking for a map for Australia for the SONY NV-U92T.
Who can give me an advise, where such map is available?

I have been incontact with Sony Australia and the NV-U92T will be released there sometime next year (hopefully early).
Also been looking on the Navteq site and searched on google and found out that the Navteq crew were mapping Australia in July (futher good news).
So all up I dont know when the maps will become avaliable but it should not be to far away.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to set the Nav-U82 to alert me to oncoming speed/safety cameras? They display on the screen, but it does not verbally alert me to them!!
