TomTom and Garmin compete for attention at CeBIT

It looks like Garmin is getting ready to unveil the entry level nuvi 200 at CeBIT in Germany in a couple of days. The new nuvi 200 -which is expected to replace the C series- will use a different supplier for GPS chips. They’ll go with MediTek of Taiwan instead of SiRF.

On the TomTom side we already heard a bunch of news about their new TomTom ONE XL, One Duo, and GO 715. The ONE XL will be a revised version of TomTom ONE with a widescreen display, while the ONE Duo will feature an expandable base for an iPod and FM receiver.
