HTC P5500 (HTC Nike) is revealed

It looks like HTC is getting ready to release yet another GPS enabled phone for later this year. This one is called HTC P5500 -or code named HTC Nike-, comes in a candybar form factor and features a slide-out numeric keypad.
The new HTC P5500 supports UMTS as well as GSM standards and comes with an FM receiver and an integrated GPS chip. Other features include Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 2.8MP digital camera with a 2.8″ screen. It takes SDIO, microSD, TransFlash cards for expansion.
It runs Windows Mobile 6 Professional on a 400MHz, 32bit Samsung processor. HTC P5500 is perhaps a competitor to the new Asus P526. It is expected to released in September 2007… via

Got my HCT hero 2 weeks ago and I have to say, I am very impressed with it indeed. I bought a faster class 6 micro SD card and that’s smoothed the phone performance right out! HTC are working on a firmware update as we speak which will also iron out some of the initial glitches too… Love the way facebook and filckr are integrated with all your contacts! So glad I got rid of my iPhone
