send google maps directions to your BMW – part 2

Google Operating System has a better screenshot of the new BMW Assist service that we mentioned a couple of hours ago. Like we said the service is only available in Germany. It is going to be free.
The “send” link from every Google Maps page will open a dialog that lets you fill your BMW account name and send an address plus some notes to your car. This service is free and it works only for businesses in Germany.
We’re guessing these smart BMW’s in Germany have a SIM card of some sort… via

The video shows that the navigation system is hooked up to a Motorola RAZR. I’m guessing it’ll use the phone’s GPRS or HSDPA via Bluetooth rather than have its own SIM.
